Scratchy and veiled voice, guitars hitting you right in the face, hypnotic universe with a kaleidoscopic drone sound to zone out, music from Brigante (Geneviève Brigitte Bernier) is deeply rooted to psychedelic rock, flirting with alternative rock, shoegaze and post-punk, with some American traces and British shadows. Embellished with a vaporous, Cinetic and minimalist poetry, catchy and transcendent melodies, she sings with nonchalance about disillusions and her eagerness to live in a fairer world, armed with the sensitivity, the strength and the elegance of a panther. The Montrealer offers now her first Ep, oscillating between French and English, accompanied on stage with Alex Crow on drums and Mélissa B. Charbonneau (alias Ask Ophelia) at the bass, to the delight of music lovers.
